PASAT is a 153-item inventory that measures potential effectiveness in a sales role. Based on extensive job analysis work covering a wide range of sales and sales related roles across many different selling environments, the questionnaire measures behaviours that differentiate between successful and unsuccessful sales personnel. The items are designed so that they are applicable to any candidates irrespective of past work experience so that the tool can be used to predict potential in those with no background in sales. PASAT can be used in selection and also in development as a diagnostic tool or as an evaluation method. Raw score to sten score conversions are available against a variety of sales groups. The questionnaire can also be administered, scored and interpreted over the Internet.
